after today, i will cease to be a venture scout of cchms panthers.truth to be told,u guys did a really great job.we're proud of you.after planning my POP Speech for 2 days,i finally completed it yesterday night.researched a few quotes and idioms for personal values that i think will be useful to the scouts.and now,its time for pictures galore. speech day was great.although there were "casualties",the scouts put up a great job.Panthers and Peregrines put up a great display,and showed the others why we are scouts.as they say,a picture paints a thousand words.so here are the pics.

yesterday,hongliang,kimshen and i went to speech day @ CCH Yishun in the capacity of a instructor.so i got another chance to break out my uniform.1 word to describe the situation:GG!with a sitrep from a juniors and by witnessing the "spectacle" occurring right under my very nose,i have to concur with THAT word.i was able to see the difference between our 2 school's units.peregrines were less well-trained,and us panthers were best.(but,of course,seeing who it was that trained them=D)they also do not seem to have a clear command structure.one of their venture,rayner,come down.he apologised to us coz his scouts kept making mistakes.but seriously,its not his fault.the guy told the contingent commander(CC) to take charge.after that,all the CCs keplakang-pusing-ed.then he started talking again.so all the CCs turned back to face him.all except our scout CC.so i had to walk behind him and gesture to him twice before he took the hint and turned back.luckily,hl had anticipated such problems,thats why we came along;to ensure no screw-ups.as much as i hate to say,the guides were better than us(no offense to any guides,its just my pride speaking).but we will improve,or i will personally drag them to the top come saturday.there can be NO mistakes.
after speech day rehearsal,we went back to school.the bus ride to-and-fro was super fun.the sec 3s and hl and i had a memory recall session.we remembered all the times we spent together.all the times we slogged together.all the times we died together(Be Prepared Camp-6 Ways To Make You Die).and finally,all the times we shared a laugh together.of nanhong the abrasion boy.of the hairy law.of fongsin's billy tanu hair.we grew up and became Men together.i remember in sec 2,when i first met all of you current sec 3s,there were many of you.now there are only 6.but this 6 have all gummed together.and for that,i am most thankful and proud.having dinner with all of you yesterday at the roti prata stall,it struck me that how fast time seems to unravel,seperating me from you all.i suddenly found that all of you had indeed grown up,and that you were able to lead,only needing us ventures as ADVISORS,not as MENTORS.i hate to have to leave you all,but time never stops.i can only hope that,as a senior,i have at least managed to guide you properly and help you all prepare for life ahead.thank you,sec 3s for being good juniors,enthusiastic and friendly,good friends who are loyal,good people who will be useful in the society,and finally,for just being yourselves.if you guys have managed to read until the end of all this,then i guess that you have indeed caught the gist of my speech at this year's Passing Out Parade. here's a picture of you guys yesterday night at the prata shop:  on a lighter note,i wanna show a stupid picture. but first,i must thank sijia for lending me her stuff.but hey,i also lent her my spa file^^.thx sj!ok,here's a funny picture:  why do you need people to call if it is monitored by security cameras?FYI,this thing was at CCH Yishun.Enough Of Emo-ing And Stupid Signs. today is unofficial activity.got a position as Assistant Scribe(a.scribe) in Executive Committee(ExCo).gotta chiong some reports for justin.today during the meeting,jake go shout in front if justin "scouts big ar?"justin turns and looks at him and he blushes and said "sorry,sorry."LOL.got back chem paper.abit unhappy over my marks.2 careless mistakes,otherwise i a1 liao...tekkan the scouts until they tired.lol i think i becoming sadist liao.nad says i today a bit siao.possible,i done crazy things and i got the courage.is it possible to like a girl whom u always like to quarrel with?am i suffering from a variation of stockholm's syndrome?am i finally over hy?am i ready to love again?to embrace all the past foolishness?I THINK SO.and so ends and starts a new chapter of my life.i breathe in the air and realise all i have done is all for naught,but i embrace it,in the knowledge that i can find tranquility and peace within myself.I HAVE EMBRACED ALL THAT I HAVE DONE AND AM READY TO BE REBORN.

today go for scouts.walau first thing i notice is so little ppl.7 ppl flag break wad f**k.thomas is gay lol.call justin say he cannot come coz he need study.me and yongzhi dun need study meh?lousy prioritising skills...lol activity ended at about 11.30 today.went off for tuition.my spy(Personal Assistant) is lazy and sleep so much,like pig.and my spy told me hy nickname is wad mush...wonder if hl the all research her to come suan me...anyway,the nick yesterday was just a JOKE.if u happen to chance onto it,dun believe it.

job week camp is over.i reported at 0730 on 8/3.camp ended at 1730 on 10/3.i raised $162 in total.first day i raised $147.second day $15.last day,all ventures and sec 3 scouts go katong play LAN.i followed them reluctantly and my junior,fongsin,also never play the games.we saw hongliang and his team get owned by panghian in dota.lol.panghian beyond godlike.good news!Albert Nai,Assistant District Commissioner(Katong),a.k.a SUNBIRD is coming back!lol we ventures were camp staff during job week.camp staff damn fun.first night after the scouts lights out at 2330,ventures went out for supper.after that i slept earliest.lol,yanghao,ex-sir,told us that camp staff is like pig(eat,sleep,make noise).in truth we eat,sleep and shout.houston is back.dunno leh,all the leaders like tone down liao.the sec 1s dare to answer back to houston leh.in our times we will tio pump if we talk like that ar.anyway sec 1s,congratulations!u guys are now full-fledged scouts.you are no longer tenderfoots and i am proud to welcome u guys into the international brotherhood of scouts.may u live by the scout promise and law forevermore.
FIRST NIGHT:ventures play taiti and hongliang,hongwei,kimshen,wenxian,yongzhi(all the sec 4 ventures who got go for the camp) suan me.basket,finish a match go shout huiyan.i sleeping they come kaopeh me on my lousy taste.say what huiyan f**king ugly.i showed them a saibu the next day but they say huiyan still ugly.after dinner,me,hongliang and wenxian go teach sec 1s tenderfoot(a uninvested scout) knowledge.houston come see us teach.nabeh,basically all the info is i do one lah.after that the sec 1s go outside fall in.they start fidgeting.houston ask them knock it down 20.its like so little lah...they look at each other and then go pumping position.no one ask for permission to start...-.-'''.in the end houston fed-up ask them recover.
LAST NIGHT:Sunbird came to visit his favourite troop.told us he will come back.turns out he will become our SL(Scout Leader).sad la,for sec 1s.never see albert before when he sadistic.basket,i still remember my PLTC.he damn scary.yongzhi,panghian,siawhui and i went to give sec 2,3s footdrill.SIRS Justin,Jun Xiang and Houston came to watch us.nabeh,wear retainers hard to pronounce footdrill commands properly.budden the scouts never tio f**cked by us.the sec 1s kenna pumped and made to run by hongliang and gang as well as by SIRS Yang Hao And Peng Yuan.they kenna coz SIR Justin damn fed-up with them in the morning.water parade that time got 1 f**king stupid sec 1 talk rubbish.ask them drink half of 1.5litre water bottle they go ask how much.all the scouts kenna f**ked by justin lor.lol they sad.they wake up at 0500 we wake up at 0700.they pumping that time we ventures still sleeping.justin ask flag break tell us must tekkan the sec 1s coz they ill-disciplined.after we finished footdrill,justin told the sec 2,3s about his scouting life.he joke that his venture squad next year only got 6 ppl.(sec 3s only got 6 ppl).
we had a lot of jokes during the camp.most funny is yongzhi's imitation of SIR Tah Hong(STH) and Kenneth Yee (KY) during Be Prepared Camp'06.

i'm leaving tomorrow for school.7.30 report.until 5pm on mon.target quota for ventures:$75 per man per day.so that would be about $150.i'm looking for a job.please call my handphone to get me to work.bag is packed,my info is done!i am ready to teach the sec1s to pass their tenderfoot camp!i'm really excited.but i got plenty of hol hw to do.so i put them in my locker!YAY!i am so hardworking.but thats coz i'm probably not in my right mind.hongliang say that hy face kenna hit by 4jt's door.she coming in then man yau open door hit her face and she "ouch!" and then um-chio.i will murder man yau and slam doors in his face.rawr.parents dun allow me to go for VLC(Venture Leadership Course).looks like i can only go vlc next yr.:(nothing to do.i'm gonna sleep soon.muz wake up early.good night everyone!Venture Choy,Over.

today go for the scout rally thing at ecp.sian 7.30 meet at school then we ventures knock it down coz justin got aura.something to do with not informing him about our plans and being ill-organised.lol hiked along ecp and enjoyed the morning sun!the scout rally area was at the burger king there leh.we hike from cchms all the way to there lol.in about 2 hrs...after that we played games.guess who i met there?i met PL chong chor hong,my pltc(patrol leaders' training course) friend who has nearly the same name as me and is in my patrol.we were a team and we got killing spree in the balloon bursting game.lol just like last year,pltc our patrol the best.REPARO,REPARO, NUMBER 1!lol i say he look damn shuai with the pl badge,he say i look even more shuai withe the venture flash-.-'.the thing ended about 12.ventures assembled to meet justin and the 3 leaders (tah hong,justin,peng yuan) asked us to go to pp with them for lunch.lol we saw something damn funny.tah hong and peng yuan like want to act fighting liddat and then peng yuan say "come la!".peng yuan throw his bag to the floor and tah hong threw his.tah hong raised his fists and said "don't make me wrestle you to the ground!"damn funny.last activity we first time see tah hong um chio.the flag bearer blow the whistle sound like farting and then the jc1 ventures start giggling.tah hong join them in giggling and um chio-ing.i finally got my pltc cert today after half a year of waiting(notice the date on the cert).

today is founder's day,(renamed world scout day).the following is the scout's founder's day message(embargoed until today) by mr nicholas tang,chief commissioner,singapore scout association.
Scout Promise:

(unread,read)EXCERPT:"Dear fellow scouts,2008 marks the start of the second millennium of scouting.we have just turned 100 years old and this is a remarkable achievement for any organization.we shoudl be proud of this because it shows there must be something unique and valuable in scouting which is valued by so many countries and societies.however we should not assume that there is therefore no need for change.some may assume that if we have done well for a 100 years then we will also do well for the next 100 yearsif we continue to do the same.this is a fallacy and is dangerous.the world of today is very different from the world of yesterday.in fact, the pace of change is now even faster than it was before and so the world of tomorrow is beyond anyone's imagination.are we prepareed for this change?do we welcome and embrace change?let me share with you a story about a cat in an Ashram in India.this cat loves the company of people and so each evening when the priest led his congregation in prayer,the cat would also wander around the prayer hall.the priest felt that the cat was distracting the devotees.so he tied the cat up every evening before the start of the prayers.this practice continued even after the oriest passed away.then one day the cat died too.the temple quickly found a replacement for the cat because everyone thought that tying up a cat during prayers is an integral and important part of evening prayers.the story illustrates a key ingredient or pre-requisite before anyone can even beign to bring about change in any organization or practice.this is the need to examine and understand the rationale or reason behind existing practices.very often we are afraid to challenge existing practices,like tying up the cat in the story,and we just continue doing them even though the circumstances have changed.what is even more dangerous is that we start to create our own reasons for a practice that we do not even understand.my fellow scouts,the word "scout" refers to a person that dares to venture into the unknown and to seek out new adventures and possibilities for his community.the world needs this true scouting spirit more than before because the future is even more uncertain as a result of the rapid changes that are taking place.however,we must be prepared to challenge our present practices and activities,understand them,and then either keep them or throw them away if they are no longer relevant to the present circumstances.only then can we retain the true spirit of scouting and ensure that we will remain as the largest youth movement in the world.thank you and have a meaningful Founder's Day."

lol.yesterday go tuition.damn funny.my classmate go connect +ve terminal to -ve terminal on the accumulator.the entire thing started to smoke.ashwin and i told him to stop playing and he threw the entire thing into a cardboard box surrounded by like,what, 7 boxes of unopened a4 paper.after that the principal come scold him then he disconnect it and he was like "it was not hot u noe?" 2 problems with this idea.1)i accidently burned my finger during a similar experiment.2)if something is smoking how can it not be hot?apparently he has a lack of logic.we were laughing and stefanie told us about how Maris Stella got 1 guy go steal sodium.sodium reacts wif air rite?he put it into his bag and forgot about it.his bag started smoking.he thought his bag caught fire and threw it into the toilet bowl.guess wad?THE TOILET BOWL EXPLODED!i am serious.stefanie told us that all chem teachers know about this incident.ha!i got a laptop from my dad.he says i am working hard and hopes for me to keep up the good work.however,i must get good ca1 results to be able to claim it...sobs...no problem.i am pro student.confirm+chop guarantee i get good results(provided i work hard!)
ipp is my favourite lesson.we wasted about 1 hr doing nothing.lol ms lee hear the bell then say wait ar,i finishing already.if real than we die liao.TAN SI JIA is horrible girl.she Punch me so i punch her.non-stop.i also forget y she punch me liao.do i have short term memory?lol,today help ms low miao siang to do saikung.she said i got potential to get a1 for cl if i chiong!i damn motivated!lol during assembly got 1 teacher pass me a cl story script to read during flag raising ceremony.me and le hung.this thurs 21/2/08.incidently,i also will be up on stage on 22/2/08 to read the Scouts' Founder's Day message.i got stage fright.i am a shy boy.LIKE REAL.chiong liao.as a afterthought,hci girls are generally smarter and prettier than cchms girls.this is called no linking.LOL.

happy new year all!sry for late post.my computer got some problem.first of all,new year,new beginnings!as Justin Sir said today(at pp's mac),wad's over is gone.here's my new year resolution:1)Training For President's Scout Award2)Stop Swearing.3)Get Grades So Good I Can Enter TJC.4)Talk Less Learn More.5)Jio Her(<--kidding!for now).here's a piece of advice from Justin Sir to us(venture unit'08) "As Ventures,the only requirement that you should have is integrity,want to pon say you want to pon,don't give all the f**k reasons like stomach ache or what other f**k shit.In Venturing,we train you to become leaders among yourselves.Act Like A Venture,Talk Like A Venture,Walk Like A Venture.Sometimes you have to tekkan the scouts,you have to do it,or else the scouts will climb over your head.I want to revive the tradition where the scouts will greet the ventures and leaders everytime they see us.Knock them down if they don't greet you."some of his advice are meaningful.and by the way,all of the above are his words,i didn't implement the french(vulgar) words inside.alrite,i go season my brand new MAROON beret.Labels: Crapping, School, Scouts
